Cynthia Long 25/05/09 New Beginning of Alaya
This show discusses the question: Are we changing or is the world changing?
Intuitive, songwriter, published novelist and poet, Cynthia Long has received transmissions numbering in the thousands for clients all over the world. Through poetry, readings and songs, she has received guidance regarding subjects as challenging as sexuality, money, war, parenting, illness, anger and the existence of evil. She also holds a special connection to the sensitive and misunderstood children of today facing diagnoses of ADD, autism, schizophrenia and depression, and to the parents who love them.
A founding member of the Healing Divas and recent nominee for the 2008 Ontario Independent Music Awards, Cynthia has shared her songs of awakening at venues as diverse as the Koffler Institute’s Evening of Engagement for Peace in the Middle East, the Peace Building Symposium at OISE, the University of Toronto’s Tikkun Conference, the World Peace Meditation at the St. Lawrence Hall, folk festivals, nursing homes, hospitals, yoga studios and more.
Cynthia recently initiated a new project entitled ALAYA: a collective of extraordinary female vocalists from a rich range of cultures to perform her choral songs of personal and planetary transformation. Their maiden gig will be the international Live H2O event on June 20th, offering vibrational healing to the Earth’s bodies of water simultaneously around the globe.
