Gershon Winkler, author of Daily Kabbalah: Wisdom from the Tree of Life, is a longtime practitioner and interpreter of the Kabbalah, and teaches workshops on the Kabbalah across the United States, Canada, Europe, Israel, and Central America. His book Magic of the Ordinary: Recovering the Shamanic in Judaism (North Atlantic Books), encapsulates his nearly two decades of study and practice of the long-lost shamanic traditions of Judaism. He is founder and director of Walking Stick Foundation, dedicated to the restoration of aboriginal Judaic knowledge and practice, and was initiated in Jerusalem in 1978 by the late kabbalistic master Rabbi Eliezer Benseon. Rabbi Winkler has authored fourteen books and numerous articles, primarily on themes related to Jewish folklore, theology, mysticism, sexuality, and the occult.
